Europa Nostra will be joining ELO and 7 other organisations (among them the Union of European Historic Houses Associations, and the RISE Foundation) at 67 rue de Trêves, located at a stone's throw from the seats of the European Commision, the European Parliament, the Council, and other institutions and/or agencies of the European Union based in Brussels. The Europa Nostra office in Brussels will be open to all its members visiting Brussels, and will also serve as a location for Europa Nostra's various committees and taskforces to organise meetings. Miss Louise van Rijckevorsel, Policy Officer of the International Secretariat, will be posted full time at the new office in Brussels.
The upcoming opening of our Brussels office will add weight to Europa Nostra lobbying activities and enable 'the Voice of Cultural Heritage in Europe' to be better heard at the heart of European institutions. Europa Nostra will thus be assured a more sustained representation with European decision makers, not only for our own members, but also for European civil society actively engaged in the protection and enhancement of our communal heritage.
