CIVILSCAPE - a European network
NGO European Landscape Convention
Civilscape is a Platform of NGOs from all over Europe in support of the European Landscape Convention. Its establishment took place on the 23rd of February 2008 in Florence. Click on the menu 'Activities' for more information.
The initiative to establish this Platform was taken by the Landscape Manifesto Group of the Netherlands. The Landscape Manifesto Group is a Platform of 34 NGOs who are working together in the spirit of the European Landscape Convention. One of its goals is to promote international co-operation in the field of landscape. One of the results is the establishment of Civilscape.
Our primary Partners on european level
CIVILSCAPE cooperates with two partners on european level. Both european partners are umbrella organisations like CIVILSCAPE:
RECEP-ENELC is an international association of local and regional authorities promoting the implementation of the European Landscape Convention continent-wide. It was established in 2006, under the aegis of the Council of Europe’s Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.
UNISCAPE intends to support and reinforce scientific interdisciplinary co-operation among European universities regarding landscape issues, notably in the areas of research and teaching.
